Event Description
The Cultural Committee is hosting a visit to Affirmations LGBTQ+ Community Center in Ferndale for a chance to ask questions and learn more about the LGBTQ+ community. Started in 1989, their mission is to provide a welcoming space where people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, and cultures can find support and unconditional acceptance. Affirmations provides Advocacy, Behavioral Health Programs, Inclusion Training, Vaccines/Testing Services, Name/Gender Change Clinics, Youth Programs, and Support Groups. goaffirmations.org
This tour is $15.00 for bus transportation due when you sign up at the library. Bring cash donation for the Center ($5+ is suggested). Tickets can be purchased at the circulation desk of the SCS Public Library. Tickets are on sale starting Monday, August 28, 2023. Tickets are nonrefundable.
