Amnesty Day

Event Description

The St. Clair Shores Public Library is participating in an amnesty day on September 27, 2023, in honor of the Library’s 88th birthday. For one day only: If patrons have overdue items owned by the St. Clair Shores Public Library, they may return them in good condition at the Library’s circulation desk to have the overdue fines or lost fees forgiven. Materials must be returned to the circulation desk. Additionally, the Library will forgive any outstanding fines on St. Clair Shores Public Library items for patrons who visit the circulation desk in person with their library card or driver’s license/state identification. The Library is unable to give refunds on fines previously paid; and fees will remain for damaged items or lost items that aren’t returned. This courtesy is made possible by a generous private donation.
