Event Description

The Great Lakes Maritime Institute promotes public interest in the history of North America's inland seas. Founded in 1952, the volunteer organization encourages preservation and publication that informs people of all ages about the importance of the region's rich maritime legacy. Based in Detroit, Michigan, it partners with the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, as well as other institutions that share this mission.
